New Newsletter and Free Books!

Did someone say free books?  Yeah, me, just now.  Here's the deal: I now have a newsletter!  This is basically going to be a monthly-ish email where subscribers can get extra content like advanced notice for giveaways, behind the scenes looks at book progress, free access to the first three to five chapters of all my book (depending on length), and a free e-copy of my first book, Skateboards, Magic, and Shamrocks.  And speaking of giveaways, to celebrate the new newsletter, I'm holding one!  If you sign up for my newsletter between now and March 31st, you will be entered into a drawing.  Five lucky winners will be gifted with Kindle copies of all three of my books: Out of the ShadowsSkateboards, Magic, and Shamrocks, and Heroes, Legends, and Villains.

But wait, why are you including a Kindle copy of Skateboards, Magic, and Shamrocks when we already get a free one by signing up for the newsletter?
— Someone out there...probably

Two reasons.  1) The version you get for signing up for the newsletter is a PDF and doesn't have all the same nice features as the Kindle version does.  2) I'm a little neurotic and I don't like having different versions of books within the same series, so I don't want to do that to anyone else.  Seriously, that one version that's hardback when all the rest are paperback or even just a differently sized paperback makes me crazy.

So how do you enter?  Just sign up for the newsletter on the Home page  and then be sure to confirm your subscription when the confirmation request arrives in your email box.  Remember, I won't know you signed up if you don't complete that confirmation step, which means you don't have a chance of winning books, and that would be very sad. :(

And that's all there is to it!  I will contact the winners via email after the drawing is completed to let them know their books are on the way.  So head on over to the Home page and sign up.  Good luck!

And you may have noticed some other changes to the website, which I mentioned would be coming in a previous blog post.

I love the gears and the new banner!  Astute observers may notice the gears are broken.  Yup, they're the same as what I used on the cover of Out of the Shadows.  Many, many thanks to my massively talented sister Heather from SewHalfCrazy.  It's only because of her the changes actually got done.  Am I saying I failed miserably when I had a crack at it?  Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying.  She's absolutely amazing!  So what do you guys think of the new look?  Let me know in the comments below.  Thanks for reading!
