Six Word Stories

As a little treat, I thought I'd share the results of a fun challenge I did back in February.  Fellow authors and Instagrammers Beverly Lee (@theconstantvoice) and James Fahy (@jamesfahyauthor) held a six word story challenge for the month of February.  It was so much fun!!!  I really enjoyed it for me, but more than that, I enjoyed seeing everyone else's submissions more.  It's so interesting to see multiple interpretations of the same prompt.  Some were deliciously dark, some were puns, and others were just unique.  I loved it!  In fact, I'm trying to cook up something similar for the future, which I'll announce on Instagram once I get it all done up ( @danafraedrich).  In no particular order, here are some of the new friends and/or people I got to know better during that challenge: @pacificnwauthor, @beckywrightauthor, @faith_therivens, @r0se_read, @abiwriting, @theconstantvoice, @julietboydauthor, @jamesfahyauthor, and @wherethereadergrows .  These are all wonderful people who love books and writing, and I highly recommending following them.  You can also see all the wonderful submissions for this challenge by looking up the hashtag #shayverlee6wordstory on Instagram, which is also something I highly recommend doing.  Here are all of mine:

I was challenged (6 words is not much to work with!), I learned things (I had never heard of Lupercalia and so had to look it up), and I met some lovely people.  Thanks for popping by today!
